Last weekend was the ladies weekend. Hubby had taken the weekend off to sail to the South China Sea to catch some fish.
So it was just me and my baby girl. So what did we do?
What else if not SHOPPING....
Right after I cleaned the whole house, we headed for our cold long shower to get ready for our another mother daughter outing. The spring cleaning had got me sweat non-stop. We were blessed with a sunny day with an occasional rain. Since April, we have been experiencing extreme HOT weather here. Not to forget, the hot weather has lead to many mosquito breeding grounds. There are more than 10 case of dengue in my area. That really sounds so scary to me.
But life must still go on and we must take precautionary measures to ensure our home is safe for our love ones.
Anyway, back to the story mory....I was mentally debating whether to go town or Tampines to spend our day. So I decided why not do both....
Our first stop was Swensens. Well a woman got to eat first if she wants to accomplish her mission, right?
My baby girl enjoying her little doodle while waiting for our meal to be served.
Our Lunch...oh it was Heavenly...
Fries for her...Clam Chowder for me and Salmon with Mushroom Pasta for us both.
This was my first purchase. I had been reading reviews on compression stockings since the early last week. I had been noticing that my left thigh was experiencing some discomfort and I could see bluiish green veins becoming obvious on my skin.
Due to my working condition which requires me to stand and walk a lot, I suspect that it could be due to my poor blood circulation on my leg. Hope the stockings could help to relieve my tired legs.
I got this stockings on offer in Watsons. They were having a 1 week special discount. For one pair of stockings, I paid $43.30.
The next pit stop was, of course, Daiso. I had to get some household stuffs.
I bought scissors, S-shape hooks, hand towel hanger, dehumidifier and pillow netting. I am so glad for the pillow netting. I can now use the netting to dry and sun my pillows. The smell of the sun on pillows would be marvelous....
Our final stop in town had to be Spotlight. Here I bought some white acrylic paint and wooden alphabets.
I thought of doing some paint job on the floral appliques that I bough online. The alphabets are for another pending project. I want to display my daughter's small slippers that we bought from Bali. I wanted to put the word Bali on the shadowbox but unfortunately, the letters 'L' and 'I' were out of stock yet again.
After we had our agenda covered, we headed back home to keep our shopping bags. Without any delay, we headed out again and hailed a taxi to bring us to Giant Tampines.
There I bought some new hand towels and water absorbance sponges. I am very much nuts over absorbance sponges. They are so useful around my sink. They keep my sink clean and dry each time I used it.
I had never seen Clorox disinfecting wipes in any supermarket before. I hope it would be useful not just on the kitchen surface but also the whole house.
This is my favourite bacon. I love the taste of the salty and crispy bacon. It tastes so finger licking good.
Ikea was a must go place in my list. Since Giant is just next to Ikea, it is an absolute compulsory for me to drop by. This time I bought a clock which was only $1.80.
The mini chopper that I bought cost me $14.90. I have been wanting to own one since chopping can be quite a hassle and time consuming. The mini chopper would definitely saves me a lot of time during my cooking.
The lotus bamboo plant is one of the new additions to my small garden. I am placing the plant near my kitchen window and hoping it will brighten the area.
Last but not least, I bought this white frame. I was so happy to see this big and lightweight frame. Its first edition was black in colour and I don't quite like it. For the white one, the price was $39.90 and since it is lightweight, I know I had to get it.
It felt so good to do this again. It reminds me of my bachelorette days when I could just spent the whole day shopping around Singapore hunting for good bargain without breaking the piggy bank.
